B.I.D. International Quality Convention in Geneva.

Presentation of Awards to companies from 49 countries from all over the world for achievements in Quality and Excellence. Chircu-Prod Impex Company receievd the Century International Quality Award in Geneva 2005 in the Gold Category. In recognition of Commitment to Quality, Leadership, Technology, and Innovation, Chircu-Prod Impex represents success for Romania in the business world. Century International Quality ERA Convention in Geneva is to recognize the commitment to quality of awarded companies among the top areas of industrial production and services.

The presentation of the Century International Quality ERA Award 2005, organized by B.I.D., took place on April 18th in Geneva’s Intercontinental Convention Hall. The event was presided by Jose E. Prieto, President and CEO of Business Initiative Directions, along with outstanding personalities from the business world and the diplomatic corps. The main sponsor of the IQC Convention was ImarPress, which covered the news on the presentation of the awards in London through its more than 26 publications in English, French, Spanish, Russian, and Portuguese. In this way, the B.I.D. quality symbol has made its presence known in 178 countries around the world, and has created a firm ground for the implementation of an integral quality process through the technology and procedures of the QC100 Total Quality Management. For Jose E. Prieto, President of B.I.D., “the awarded companies are symbols of commitment to leadership, technology, and innovation which make them models for other companies of their sectors.” The 48 countries from Europe, America, Africa, Asia, the Far East and Middle East received the International Quality Crown Award as recognition of their achievements in spreading Quality Culture. It was of special significance for these companies to join B.I.D.’s historic group of the most important companies in the world distinguished by their commitment to quality. Among these outstanding companies are: Ansaldo Energia, Italy; RAO – Unified Energy Systems of Russia; Turner Construction International LLC of the U.S.; KEPCO, South Korea; and Als & Cachou – TBWA , France.

CHIRCU PROD-IMPEX COMPANY SRL represents the quality steel industry of Romania. This is a private company having 60 very well trained employees and a yearly turnover of about 8 million USD. The company has 70 highly skilled employees, part of them being also trained abroad, with International Certificates from various workshops and forums. The company has the head office in Bucharest and a modern factory equipped with machinery of latest technology. The Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation from Romania becomes the newest member of United Nations Global compact Initiatives . The Global Compact action of United Nations is focused on advancing principles as: human rights, labor standards, environment and anti-corruption.

The acceptance of Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation in the United Nations framework is a proof of the advancement of foreign policy research and activities in Romania and there global impact, furthermore the Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation is the only Romanian institution ever accepted in the Global Compact of United Nations.
